Former Manhyia South Member of Parliament, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has formally bid farewell to his constituents following his selection as New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate.

After 16 years of parliamentary service, the former Energy Minister, popularly known as NAPO was unveiled as the NPP running mate for the 2024 election in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 9.

Addressing party faithful at the Apostolic Church Ghana at Ashtown, NAPO expressed heartfelt gratitude for their immense support all these years.

According to him, the beginning of the journey was not easy, but the constituents rallied behind him throughout and prayed for him.

On behalf of the constituents, the NPP Parliamentary candidate, lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah promised to continue the good legacy his predecessor is leaving behind.

The Constituency Chairman, Richard Agyei Mensah Ofori-Atta called for unity to ensure a resounding victory for NPP in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
