Running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has expressed concern over the behaviour of the Democracy Hub protestors during recent demonstrations.
He noted that while demonstrations are an expected part of an election season, they should be conducted peacefully and with decency.

Continuing his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh visited the New Edubiase constituency, where he paid courtesy calls on the Edubiasehene, other chiefs, Imams, and clergy.

During his address, he stressed the importance of maintaining peace during political activities and voiced his disappointment over the actions of Democracy Hub leader, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, who allegedly took keys from a police vehicle during a demonstration.

According to Dr. Prempeh, such actions harm the democratic process.

The Edubiasehene, Oguayhia Oduro Panin Birikorang, praised Dr. Prempeh for his exemplary leadership in government roles, highlighting the development-focused policies of the NPP that have benefited the people of Ghana.
