Nana Fredua joins ‘eat local rice’ campaign

A Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, Nana Fredua Agyeman Ofori  Atta, has urged Ghanaians to patronise Made in Ghana products, particularly rice to support  local farmers and the agricultural sector.

According to him, food stuff produced in Ghana are very organic and will go a long way to improve the economy of the country when given the necessary attention.

“The president said we must eat what we grow and most of what we grow in Ghana are organic, so let’s invest our monies and our time in them,” he told Accra based Peace FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

He added that the government has pledged its support in improving the agricultural sector by introducing initiatives and policies to support local farmers.

“Initiatives such as  the ‘Planting  for Food and Jobs’  and the One-District-One-Factory are all initiatives introduced by the government to create employment and help local farmers process their products to prevent perishing,” he said.
