The President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe has described the Ghanaian President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the new Kwame Nkrumah of Africa.
President Mugabe who was impressed with Nana Addo’s speech during Ghana’s independence day celebration requested for a copy describing it as ‘powerful’.
He believes Ghana’s President who has been encouraging Ghanaians to be patriotic citizens has brought life to Ghana.
“I was highly impressed with President Nana Addo’s speech yesterday, he is the new face of Africa,” he told journalists in Accra on Tuesday.
Nana Addo advised Ghanaians to always rise above ethnic or sectional interest and help build Ghana.
He further paid homage to Ghana’s fore fathers for toiling for the nation adding that the Africa man is capable of handling his own affairs.
The Zimbabwean President called for stronger economic ties between Ghana and Zimbabwe.
