Nana Addo lacks the 'balls' to speak against homosexuality – Maurice Ampaw

-

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s statement on homosexuality was a cowardice statement and he will not get 10 percent of votes in 2020 should he endorse homosexuality, lawyer Maurice Ampaw has said.
Lawyer Ampaw says the president who is championing Africa beyond aid agenda should have been blunt and told the host that, Ghana will never support homosexuality because it is against our cultural and religious practices.
Ghana he noted does not need any aid from foreigners with strings of homosexual legalization attached.
He commended the late President Mills, for his blunt stance on the subject and has, therefore, threatened to stage a demonstration against the president with the voice of late Mills, as a tool to speak against any attempt to endorse homosexuality.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in a recent interview with Aljazeera, said, the legalization of homosexuality has not been possible in Ghana because no strong institution has pushed for it like was done in England.
He said the president is encouraging the gay community in Ghana to push for their rights but the president should dare us and see what will happen. The gay community in Ghana should dare and push this agenda and see what will happen.
They should stage this agenda and see who is who in this country, he added. Parents of the president did not support homosexuality and so why should he endorse it? He quizzed if the president would be happy if his daughters decide to marry their fellow women?
