The Ashanti Regional NADMO Coordinator, Kwabena Senkyire, is calling for the demolition over 25 houses built on waterways at Odumasi.
He said these houses have no permits and must be pulled down to allow the free flow of water when it rains.
Mr Senkyire made the comment while touring the area after most homes in the area were flooded after heavy rainfall.
He warned those whose houses are on waterways will be sanctioned should NADMO be forced to pull the buildings down.
Adom News Isaac Amoako was with the team said NADMO is making the recommendation to save lives and property.
Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, said once a support is given, some houses will be pulled down, drains constructed and the river dredged in order to end the constant problems.
He said the demolition will bring relief to people in the area and also end the perennial flooding.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Asante Akyem Central, Susan Akomea also urged residents to comply with the rules of NADMO.
Odumasi Hene Nana Kofi Antwi II also Nefahene of Juaben pleaded with the governments to help them and work on the bridge of mines area.
