A yet-to-be identified group has reportedly besieged the head office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NaDMO) at Kanda near the National Mosque in Accra.
A staff who spoke under anonymity on Joy News disclosed the suspected thugs began massing up at the frontage of the office on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
However, they have managed to access the building and now dragging staff members out.
She noted such attacks have been recurrent, stating it happens anytime there is a change of government.
The Police she said are yet to be informed as staff continue to run for cover.
“We have staff members who stay around and alerted me yesterday that people are besieging the premises but now they have taken over and we fear for our lives. I even had to hide so I could call you.
“They have entered the offices, asking people to vacate. They are quite a number even though I can’t count them. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to call the Police because I feel shaken. Our security men here are also nowhere to be found because of the situation,” she narrated.
