Ghanaian music producer and gospel musician, Nana Kwaku Osei, known in showbiz as Nacee, has underscored several factors affecting the financial fortunes of gospel musicians.
In an interview with GhanaWeb, he explained that event organizers do not pay gospel musicians their due for performances, a situation he believes is hindering the progress of the gospel music industry.
“We lack financial support because most gospel musicians, when they go to events, the organizers do not pay them as much as they deserve. So, we end up fighting more than we should,” he said.
He emphasized that having sufficient financial backing would greatly impact their ministry.
“I believe that with proper finances or financial support, we will be able to do more,” he noted.
Nacee made these comments at the 2024 edition of the Praise Achievement Awards ceremony, which was held in Accra on November 24, 2024, at the Perez Dome.
