The Executive Director of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has picked up nomination forms to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary in his native Kwesimintsim in the Western region.

Dr Prince Armah arrived at the party office in the company of hundreds of supporters, including delegates who had contributed to enable him purchase the forms, priced by the party at GHc 2,000.00.

In a speech after the acquiring the forms, Dr Armah stressed his links to the community, his experience and his desire to provide quality and dedicated leadership to the constituency.

He said his travels around the world had convinced him of the need for Ghana to have competent leadership that will help propel it to the levels of its more developed peers in the global community.

Dr Armah emphasised the need for unity in the party and said it was his intention to heal the long running divisions in the constituency in order to win a resounding victory in the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections in the constituency.

Dr Armah has been a member of the party for over two decades and has previously served as secondary schools coordinator in the Western Region, constituency youth secretary, TESCON secretary and member of the regional communications team. He has also held elected office before as an assembly man.
