The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged that his Women’s Development Fund policy will enhance the financial standing of market women.
During a campaign tour of major markets in the Greater Accra Region, he emphasized the vital role of market women in Ghana’s economic health.
At the Okaishie market, he assured traders that the fund would provide essential financial support to help them expand their businesses.
Additionally, Dr Bawumia outlined his flat tax rate policy, aimed at easing the tax burden on businesses and curbing harassment from the Ghana Revenue Authority.
“God willing, when I become president, I will empower market women. I have many policies that will benefit them, including changes to the tax system. We have several issues with the GRA, so I will implement a flat tax system starting in 2025, along with tax amnesty for all businesses and individuals,” he assured.
