Muslims in Volta region urged to support govt’s reset agenda

The Volta Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Alfa Anas, has called on all Muslims to help the government’s reset agenda to help bring development to the country

Speaking at the Eid-Ul-Fitr celebration held in Ho, Alhaji Alfa Anas stated that, the government alone cannot reset Ghana for development except for collaboration from stakeholders, and individuals.

He also urged the Muslims to advise the government on their wrong and good deeds to encourage them.

“Without patience, everything will go wrong We need to be patient with the government so far as the new government said the want rest Ghana we need to be patient and support them give them advice if they are going wrong we should give them advise and when they are going right we should encourage them to see that there is development in Ghana and Ho Central,” the Imam said.

Alhaji Anas further charged all Muslims to celebrate the Ramadan in the spirit of togetherness, generosity and kindness.

On his part, Ho Central MP, Edem Kofi Kpotosu called on the Muslim youth to be peaceful, shun drug abuse, and other harmful substances.

Mr. Kpotosu also pledged the government’s commitment to building an Islamic school in the municipality, stressing the constituents will have their fair share of the national cake.

The District Chief Executive(DCE) nominee, Stephen Adom also pledged his commitment to serving the people when approved.

He seized the opportunity to appeal to assembly members to fully endorse his nomination.
