Over 40 vehicles were destroyed at the A&C Mall in East Legon, Accra, on Tuesday following a downpour accompanied by strong winds.
The incident occurred after the solar panel at the car park shed collapsed due to the strong winds, causing extensive damage to the vehicles.
Widely circulated visuals showed the shed torn down by the force of the wind, with several vehicles trapped underneath the debris.
Additionally, trees at the car park also fell on some of the vehicles, compounding the damage.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was later called to the scene to dismantle and remove the collapsed solar panels.
