The Vice Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Kofi Poku has confirmed that the quarterfinal game between Kotoko and NEA Salamina has been postponed.
The game is likely to come off in the second week of August.
This decision follows the Porcupine Warriors’ request to be excused from honoring their game this Sunday as their players have not psychologically and physically recovered from the fatal accident they encountered after their Premier League clash game against Inter Allies.
“They’ve been excused from this weekend’s games and we’re hoping that in the second week of August, they will play their match.
“We have to look at the date of the PLB and know the exact date we can fix for them,” Mr. Poku said.
Kotoko already has two outstanding Premier League games against Accra Hearts of Oak and WAFA.
