Kwahu Atibie team bags GH¢ 2,000 Cedis at the MTN Asempa Kwahu Easter Games

Sports formed part of the activities organised by your ultimate number one sports station, Asempa FM during the Easter festivities atop the Kwahu mountain.

Dubbed MTN Asempa FM Kwahu Easter Games, the event witnessed talented football players who were willing to ‘die’ for the ultimate cup in the tournament.

The fourth edition of the annual event received many patrons residing at Kwahu Mpraeso and they were more than glad to be part of the fun, which took place at the Mpraeso Football Stadium.

The football tournament started with 10 teams, emerging from various towns in Kwahu, together with their coaches and substitutes.

Team Obomeng, Brepong, Kotoso and Atibie qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament. Teams that made early evictions were Nkwatia, Pitiku, Tafo, Atibie, Ankoma, and Mpraeso.

In the end, team Atibie were given GH¢ 2,000.00 for winning the tournament and Brepong had GH¢ 1,000.00 for winning the 2nd position; leaving team Obomeng with GH¢500.00 for coming third.

Aside trophies, each team received souvenirs and medals from telecommunications network, MTN.

Team Brepong had GH¢ 1,000 for winning the 2nd position

It was a long but interesting tournament and disappointed teams promised to be better next year.

Side attractions included other games such as draught, where the winner, Kofi Emma and Osafo Isaac (second position) took home their cash prizes.
