Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi West Constituency, Helen Adjoa Ntoso has donated over 150 dual desks to basic schools in her constituency.
This is part of her commitment to improve teaching and learning in the Krachi-West district.
Hon. Ntoso reiterated her commitment to education, adding that she would make sure every school in her constituency has furniture by the end of her.
“I have donated furniture, laptops computers to schools and also provided motorbikes to the local circuit supervisors” she added.
The Krachie West MP urged teachers in the constituency to work assiduously to improve the performance of student in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)
“Let’s put in place measure to improve performance so that those who are investing will be motivated” she stressed.
Hon. Ntoso underscored the need for all stakeholders to support government in providing logistics in schools across the country.
Also, the District Director of Education, Benjamin Kwame, who received the desks on behalf of the schools, thanked the MP for the gesture.
The donation, he said is timely as some students in the district has to sit on the floor to learn.
The donated desk, Benjamin Kwame noted would be distributed to all students within the six in the district.
He pleaded with the MP and educational directorates to provide the district with vehicle to ensure proper supervision of schools.
The headteacher of Blekorpe Odikro Albert, thanked the MP for her support but pleaded for classroom and teaching and learning materials to enhance effective teaching in the school.
