A mother and her three children have lost their lives after a fire consumed their home at Gyinyase, a suburb of the Asokwa Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
Linda Agyemang, a nurse at the Kumasi South Hospital, and her three children, aged between 7 and 14, died after they were trapped in a three-bedroom apartment.
The fire incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday, February 8, 2025, with the cause yet to be determined.
Reports indicate that firefighters received a distress call around 4:30 a.m. and arrived at the scene within ten minutes.
Unfortunately, the occupants had already been consumed by the fire.
The community has been left devastated by the tragic incident, with loved ones grieving over their loss.
The Ghana National Fire Service is currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the fire.
The charred remains have been transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for autopsy.
