Mohammed Kudus could replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool – John Barnes

-

Liverpool legend John Barnes has suggested that Mohammed Kudus could be an ideal successor to Mohamed Salah.

With Salah reportedly contemplating a move to the Saudi Pro League, Barnes believes Kudus has the qualities needed to fill his shoes.

The Ghana international, who impressed during his time with West Ham, is noted for his dynamic and direct style of play, which Barnes compares to that of Salah.

In an interview with BettingExpert, Barnes praised Kudus’s performance, stating, “Kudus was fantastic last season with West Ham.

“Even Mohamed Salah has hinted that he might not be at Liverpool in three years, so Kudus could be a great option for that role.

“He’s young, dynamic, and plays in a similar way to Mo,” he added.

Salah, who has been with Liverpool since 2017, is believed to be nearing the end of his career.

Kudus, 23, made headlines with his stellar debut season at West Ham, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists, while also helping the team reach the Europa League quarterfinals.

His impressive form has attracted interest from various European and Saudi Arabian clubs.
