Actress and socialite Moesha Boduong, who has battled stroke, memory loss, speech impairment, and paralysis in recent years, turns 35 today, March 10.
For her birthday, she wishes for nothing more than prayers for a full recovery from her colleagues and fans.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Moesha revealed that she has faced severe health challenges, including paralysis, memory loss, and speech impairment, since falling ill.
“I couldn’t even talk some time ago. But now, I’m gaining my speech back little by little. I also couldn’t remember anything, but now I can.
“I’m currently on medication, which is also improving my condition. I have regained my memory, and at the moment, I can remember most of the things that I forgot about some time ago,” she said.
Despite her struggles, she remains confident in divine healing and believes fervent prayers from loved ones will aid her recovery.
“My birthday is just around the corner, and I have prayed to God. My heartfelt wish is that He should heal me completely as my birthday present. However, I want my colleagues, fans, and loved ones to join their voices together to petition God on my behalf.
“They should also tell God to give me back my health. I want the world to know that God can perform miracles. With my current condition, I can say that it’s a miracle. But for my birthday gift this year, He should be merciful and heal me completely. I miss my old self,” she stated.
A Drastic Turn in Moesha’s Life
Moesha’s curvaceous figure and provocative social media presence catapulted her to fame in the entertainment industry. However, all of that changed following her severe health crisis, including a stroke that left her partially paralysed and affected her ability to communicate.
Before her health struggles, Moesha was a well-known actress, model, and philanthropist. She starred in films such as Amakye and Dede, Pool Party, and John and John.
Beyond showbiz, she was actively involved in charity work. In 2018, she launched the Moesha Foundation, an initiative focused on supporting underprivileged children. She donated educational materials to schools, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to society.

Fundraising Efforts and Celebrity Support
Last year, several celebrities supported her brother, Ebito Boduong, in raising funds for her medical treatment after she suffered a stroke.
A GoFundMe campaign was launched with a target of $10,000 to cover her medical expenses. However, it raised $5,158.
Celebrities, including Efya, Fella Makafui, Serwaa Amihere, and Akuapem Poloo, called on Ghanaians to contribute to the fund.
Moesha expressed her gratitude for the support. “I want to thank everyone for the support. I really appreciate it, but the last thing I ask is that they should all pray for me,” she added.
