Missing registered assets: Juaboso DCE clears the air

-

Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Juaboso, Godfred Kwabena Adjei Asante, has dismissed allegations that some registered items at his official residence went missing after he handed over following the 2024 general elections.

This follows a report by Adom News indicating that a mattress, television set, and other listed assets could not be accounted for during a recent inspection by assembly authorities.

Speaking to Adom News’ Augustine Boah, Mr. Adjei Asante firmly denied any wrongdoing. He insisted that all official assets were properly handed over to the District Director Assistant One during the transition process.

“I handed over everything properly. I did not leave with any item belonging to the assembly,” he stated.

He further noted that he has not engaged in any illegal activity and is open to investigations to clear his name. However, he cautioned against any attempts to tarnish his reputation for political gain.

“I will not allow myself to be used for anyone’s political agenda,” he emphasized.

Mr. Adjei Asante added that he has not received any formal complaint or notification from the assembly regarding the alleged missing items.
