Miss World 2019, Vanessa Ponce, will be in Ghana on Tuesday, July 2 till Sunday, July 7 to support the Miss Ghana Foundation in its ongoing social intervention projects.
The beauty queen will be touring the country with the Chairperson of Miss World Organisation, Julia Morley, who is also the Founder of the ‘Beauty With A Purpose Charity.’
One of the main reasons for her visit to Ghana is to support the Miss Ghana Foundation and the brand in its social intervention works such as the Educational Project ongoing at Don Bosco Technical & Vocational Training Institution in the heart of the Ashaiman Municipality and the water project at Nabuli to produce potable water to the people of the Gushegu District in the Northern Region.

Miss Ponce will also pay for the cost of surgeries for children suffering from Scoliosis at the FOCOS Hospital in Accra.
Her visit is part of activities leading to the 2019 edition of the Miss Ghana finale at the Kempinski Hotel on Saturday, July 6.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic about the charity works, Ms Inna Patty, the Chief Executive Officer of Exclusive Events, organisers of Miss Ghana, said the organisation was a prestigious brand which had the development of Ghana at heart and had used its medium to champion many charity works in line with the mission of the Miss Ghana Foundation.

“As an organisation, we are not just about grooming beauty queens but committed to the development of the society which supports our brand, and that is why we have these charity projects before holding the finals of our beauty contest.
“It is to instil in our ladies the spirit of support and to know that their status is incomplete without making relevant contributions to its growth,” she stated.
Exclusive Events Ghana, organisers of Miss Ghana, launched this year’s edition of the pageant at a ceremony at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra on Friday, April 5 and held its first auditions on Sunday, June 2.
