Minority celebrates Court of Appeal’s acquittal of Ato Forson

The Minority in Parliament celebrated the Court of Appeal’s acquittal of its leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, in the ongoing ambulance trial following a 2-1 verdict.

The decision, which came after an appeal on the submission of no case filed by Dr. Forson’s lawyers, ends a saga that has lasted nearly two years.

Parliamentary Affairs correspondent Ohene Ampomsah reported that, the Minority celebrated as Dr. Forson entered the Chamber.

Former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu praised the judiciary’s efforts and cautioned the Attorney General against seeking an appeal.

The Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin, also joined in the celebration, emphasizing that the judiciary should remain impartial and not be politicized, allowing it to perform its duties effectively.
