Minister inspects Odawna market project, sets deadline for completion

The Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah has inspected ongoing market projects at the Odawna market in the Korle Klottey Municipality.

During the visit, he charged the Municipal Chief Executive and the consultant to ensure that the project is completed by the end of this month.

The project includes the reconstruction of 16 market sheds, a four-classroom block – a Crèche for children, and a 40-seater place of convenience.

Minister Korsah emphasized that no further delays will be tolerated and directed that all intruders hindering the progress of work be dealt with according to the law.

He stressed the importance of completing the project on time to enable traders to use the facilities and benefit from the improved market infrastructure.

The Minister’s visit and directives demonstrate the government’s commitment to accelerating development projects and ensuring that they are completed to a high standard.
