Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng, has justified government’s inclusion of existing enterprises in its One District One Factory (1D1F) programme.
The minister is reported to have said at this year’s National Results Fair held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) that it’s prudent to support existing viable companies to grow rather than establish new ones.
In a rebuttal to critique the addition of existing businesses to the 1D1F programme, the minister said there was nothing wrong with the desicion.
He explained that the [ 1D1F] policy was not to establish state enterprises but support private sector industrialization.
