A tragic incident occurred at Sefwi Asawinso ‘A’ in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, where a young miner lost his life after drowning in a galamsey pit.
Reports indicate that the miner was working at the site when he suddenly lost his balance and fell into the water.
Concerned colleagues quickly noticed his absence and began a search for him.
After hours of searching, they finally located his lifeless body submerged in the pit.
Local authorities have yet to respond to this tragic event, as the community mourns the loss of the young man.
