The three military officers who were injured in the attack on police-military team in Asante Akyem Agogo by Fulani herdsmen has been transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
The three were part of a combined police-military team that was attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the Asante North town.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon when the military men stormed an area where the nomads were feeding their cattle.
It comes as a deadline for the nomads to evacuate their cattle expires.
Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah reported on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Tuesday that the military men were transferred to KATH after they were initially admitted at the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital.
They were transferred after their conditions were stabilized by nurses at the facility.
According to him, residents of the town are expecting that this attack will bring to an end the Fulani menace in the area.
“I have seen people standing at vantage points in the town and all they discuss is the shooting of the military man and the police…they expect that this would bring to an end the menace…,” he said.
