President John Mahama has appointed Michael Harry Yamson as the new administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), settling widespread speculations about the appointment.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister for Government Business, confirmed the appointment in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show.
This decision puts to rest rumors that National Democratic Congress (NDC) member Dr. Louisa Hannah Bissiw had been selected for the position.
With a wealth of experience in business strategy, governance, and marketing, Mr. Yamson is expected to bring efficiency and transparency to the management of the DACF.
Currently, Mr. Yamson serves as a Board Member at Unichem Ghana Group and Managing Partner at Ishmael Yamson & Associates, roles he has held since 2021.
Before that, he held leadership positions in several major organizations, including Unilever, Celtel International, and MTI Ghana Limited, where he specialized in brand development, marketing, and investment strategy.
