An aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Ningo-Prampram constituency is set the give sitting Member of Parliament, Sam George a run for his money.
Hon. Michael Kwetey Tetteh believes he is the right man to retain the seat for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 general elections.
He has also denied media reports that, he has step down for Sam George ahead of the party’s parliamentary primaries.
Below is the full statement
Our attention has been drawn to a malicious falsehood making rounds that Hon. Michael Kwetey Tetteh has stepped down from contesting Hon. Sam George.
We hereby set the records straight as follows:
●I have not stepped down for any reason knowing very well that it is few weeks away from the victory that will restore VALUES in the Ningo Prampram Constituency.
●I have not negotiated any terms with any official from National to allow Dzata to go unopposed.
●I have not on any day called delegates to ask for forgiveness for wasting their resources after they have overwhelmingly showed massive support for my candidature.
●I do not have any financial terms with anyone who has an agenda against what GOD has ordained long before time.
Remarks:
▪I am thankful to all party faithfuls (far and near) who contacted the Team when this false alarm was raised this afternoon.
▪I am reassuring you all that the VALUE added change is in progress.
▪Please you must all disregard all the baseless and concocted lies being propagated by those already gripped with fear.
▪ Also, you all must disregard all the strange lies including that which was falsely reported that Team MKT planned to get Dzata disqualified.
All these frivolous ways and lugubrious acts won’t survive the test of time.
I wish to confirm to you that the team will remain decorous as we sell our tried and tested message(s) to the delegates till the last ballot is counted.
Many thanks for your kind attention.
