Mensahkrom residents appeal to govt for social amenities

Residents of Mensahkrom, a farming community in the Birim South District of the Eastern Region, have expressed their frustration over the lack of essential social amenities, which they say is making life unbearable.
The residents highlighted the absence of basic facilities such as educational infrastructure, a Community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound, potable drinking water, and good roads.
They lamented that the limited amenities available are deteriorating, further worsening their living conditions.

Residents appealed to the government and private entities to step in and provide the necessary social amenities to improve their quality of life.

Their concerns came to light during a visit by Rev. Sr. Jusinta Akua Kwakyewaa Osei, a philanthropist and Senior Housemistress at Akyem Oda St. Francis Senior High Technical School. Rev. Sr. Jusinta donated relief items to aid the community and emphasized the urgent need for interventions to address the challenges faced by the residents.

Rev. Sr. Jusinta explained that the lack of social amenities in Mensahkrom and surrounding communities makes life difficult for residents.

She called on stakeholders to take immediate action to alleviate the hardships in the area.
