Transformational coach Scofray Nana Yaw Yeboah has shed light on the silent suffering of many men, stating that they are four times more likely to commit suicide.
According to him, many men go through a series of abuses, but society turns a blind eye and sees it as normal.
However, in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Scofray admonished that the abuse of men must be given priority, just as it is for women.
“Whenever a man speaks his truth, it is used against him. Men suffer 70% of non-reciprocal abuse and are four times more likely to commit suicide.
“We are going through a lot, but we always say that men deserve respect, not love. But it is about time we correct a lot of misconceptions to guide our lives and also save men in society,” he urged.
These words were shared in commemoration of the 2024 International Men’s Day under the theme Positive Male Role Models.
The theme highlights the importance of fostering open conversations about men’s mental health and creating supportive environments where men can thrive.
