The international body art convention kicked off as tattoo artists and aficionados from across the globe descended on Brussels.
The three-day event is being held in a former industrial site, now named Tour & Taxis, in the heart of Belgium’s capital city.
Rolf Buchholz, from Germany, was among the visitors showing off their body art and he proudly displayed his 480 piercings and the horns implanted into his forehead.
Attendees at the event, that runs from November 8 to November 10, are often enticed by the chance to be tattooed by ‘the world’s finest tattoo artists on the planet,’ according to the convention’s official website.
Any tattoos completed at the gathering can then be entered into the convention’s own award ceremonies which give prizes in categories that include Best Graphic, Best Healed and Best of Show.
Day tickets for the event also include access to a range of entertainment such as graffiti battles, wrestling matches and bike shows.
