Board Chairman of Medeama Soccer Club, Dr. Tony Aubynn has declared that their objective for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season is to clinch the championship title.
Following their defeat to FC Samartex in the 2023/24 season, Medeama is set on reclaiming their top spot.
As the new season is set to begin on September 6, Aubynn is optimistic about their chances.
He believes that winning both the Premier League and the FA Cup, along with competing in African tournaments, will provide them with a competitive edge.
“We are focused on securing the league title. In a competition of this magnitude, anything less than first place is unacceptable,” he told Graphic Sports.
“Medeama is no longer a newcomer; we’ve matured as a team, having previously won both the league and the FA Cup. We’ve also represented Ghana in African competitions.”
Aubynn underscored that Medeama’s growth and experience, combined with their past successes, reinforce their determination to win the league.
Medeama SC will commence their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with a home fixture against Accra Lions at T&A Park.
