Medeama Sporting Club coach Nebojsa Kapor has issued an apology to fans after their 2-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak on Friday night.
In the Matchday 9 clash, Medeama, also known as the Yellow Mauve, was defeated by the Phobians, with Kwabena Boateng and Mawuli Wayo scoring in the second half to secure the win for Hearts of Oak.
Following the match, Coach Kapor expressed his disappointment and acknowledged the challenge they faced against Hearts of Oak. He apologized to the fans, promising that the team would work hard to bounce back in their next game.
“It was a very difficult game. I’m really sorry because our players and because our supporters are in serious pain that we lost points here,” he said.
“From the beginning, we didn’t start well. We didn’t do well in the middle zone, and this is football. I won’t blame my players, and I can’t find an excuse. We must prepare better for our next match.
“I’m really sorry, but the fans should not give up,” Kapor added.
The loss leaves Medeama in 3rd place with 15 points as they prepare to face Dreams FC in Week 10 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
