Former Ghanaian athlete and doctor has said young athlete Martha Bissa’s seeming decline performance psychological.
Speaking on the ultimate sports show this morning, the former track and field medalist believes Martha Bissa has not dipped in form but is rather adjusting to her new environment in the United states of America.
Martha Bissa after winning gold for Ghana in the Youth Olympics in 2016 has had series of issues with the Ghana Athletics Association which has resulted in a current ban being placed on her and a rumored nationality switch and this Dr. Dzradosi explains affects her psyche and can affect her.
“I do not believe Martha has dipped in performance. The only problem is she did not have proper training post the youth Olympics and change in coaches and environment affected her before she left the country”.
“Martha Bissa prior to the youth Olympics had a good training regimen and even had the opportunity to train with some good USA trainers and even Caster Semenya. So she was well prepared. All this changed after”. Dr. Dzradosi said.
“Martha will get better with time, she needs to apologize to the Ghana Athletics Association and the ban will be lifted”.
