Ghanaian renowned record producer, Edward Nana Poku Osei popularly known as Hammer has stated unequivocally that, most of the Nigerian artistes don’t recognize Sarkodie as superstar in the entertainment industry.
Shatta Wale in a recent interview stated he would never consider the Nigerian musician as a superstar.
“I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste,” he said.
Meanwhile, Wizkid’s fans in Nigeria didn’t take the statement lightly hence clap-backed at the Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Shatta.
It is with this that, the founder and CEO of the Last Two records, Hammer said everyone is entitled to their opinion hence he can guarantee many of the Nigerian celebrities don’t respect Sarkodie as a superstar.
He added that, the argument isn’t based on patriotism as such he believes superstardom isn’t absolute but relative.
“I guarantee u many of Nigerian celebrities don’t even see our Sark as a super star. This isn’t even about supporting ur own. It’s just a classic case of not being star struck by someone’s art or hustle, and that’s no crime. There u have it.. Superstardom is not absolute… it’s relative. There’s no problem here. Stop inciting a rivalry between us and Nigerians…” he posted on Facebook.
