Patients visiting the Manhyia Government Hospital have been left stranded as the Outpatient Department (OPD) sits empty due to a labour strike initiated by organized labour over the sale of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) hotels.
The ongoing strike has left many patients lying on benches at the OPD, hoping to access medical care.
Several patients expressed their frustrations and worries to Adom News, highlighting the negative consequences of the strike on their health and well-being.
“I came here early in the morning with severe pain, but there are no doctors or nurses to attend to me,” lamented one distressed patient.
“We need the government and labour unions to resolve this quickly for the sake of our health” another added.
