Man lynched for allegedly stealing cables

A young man, believed to be in his early 30s, has been lynched for allegedly stealing electric cables at Mustapha Plus Estate, near Potsin Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

Preliminary investigations revealed that, a sack containing used electrical cables was found beside the deceased.

Also, a kitchen knife and rope were discovered at the scene, and Police reports indicate that, the man had blood oozing from his mouth and nose.

The Police source also said an unlicensed motorbike was found parked nearby, but the cause of the man’s death is yet to be determined.

It remains unclear whether the motorbike is connected to the alleged crime or the incident leading to his death.

The Gomoa Potsin Police have since conveyed the body to the mortuary, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
