A 50-year-old cloth seller, Sulley Bonkanu, is in critical condition after his customer inflicted cutlass wounds on him at Agona Asafo in the Agona East District of the Central Region.
Sulley is currently receiving treatment at Agona Swedru government Hospital.
The suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Kwesi Obo.
Speaking to Adom News, some eyewitnesses narrated that Kwesi bought a cloth a few days ago but brought it back to change it but Sulley was away and met his wife.
However, Sulley went to confront Kwesi after his wife informed him, resulting in a heated exchange.
Through the intervention of some neighbours, calm was restored and they believed the matter had been settled.
But Kwesi later went to Sulley’s house to attack him and inflicted multiple wounds on him.
Kwesi absconded after committing the crime.
