Residents of Jamdede in the Berekum West district of the Bono Region have been left in shock after a middle-aged man was found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased, believed to have been lynched, was discovered with several bruises on his body.
Residents told Adom News that they saw the lifeless body in a gutter on Monday morning and suspect it had been killed elsewhere before being deposited in the area.
Others believe the man may have been a victim of a botched theft, pointing to the high number of theft incidents in the region.
There were concerns raised over the apparent lack of urgency from the police, as the body remained at the scene when the story was filed.
Master Yaw, a motor mechanic whose shop was near the area where the body was dumped, appealed to the police to remove the body so he could begin his daily work.
