In the wisdom of the court, the
activities of people who engage in fake currency business are collapsing the
businesses of Provision Shop owners as they sometimes use fake GH¢50.00 note to
buy a tin of milk which cost GH¢3.00 and receive original notes.
The court ordered that the GH¢3,240.00 fake
currencies be burnt.
His Worship, Andrew Prince Cudjo, who presided over the case, added that the sentence will serve as a lesson to those in Damongo who are swindling commercial vehicle drivers with fake currencies.
