A young man identified only as A Flat has been apprehended after an alleged attempt to abscond with a car during test drive.
The incident occurred near Haatso KFC, where the man reportedly showed interest in the car from the dealership.
During the test drive, he allegedly attempted to drive off with the white, unregistered Mercedes-Benz C300.
However, his attempt was swiftly thwarted as bystanders and the car dealer managed to apprehend him.
Eyewitnesses report that the suspect was subjected to an intense beating by an irate crowd before he pleaded for his life.
The incident has been reported to the police, and the suspect is currently in custody, awaiting further investigation.
