A 33-year-old man identified simply as Kwasi has been discovered dead in his room at Ahenboboano, a suburb of Berekum in the Bono Region.
Kwasi’s body was found hanging from the ceiling with an electric iron wire on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
The tragic discovery was made by his friend, Mr. Augustine Oppong, with whom Kwasi had been staying temporarily while searching for a new apartment.
Mr. Oppong recounted that he left for work in the morning and returned later to find Kwasi’s lifeless body hanging from the ceiling.
Police were immediately alerted and have since retrieved the body, which has been deposited at a mortuary for preservation.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
Kwasi is survived by his wife and two children residing in Adabokrom in the Bia East District of the Western Region.
