Media reports indicate that Hearts of Oak midfielder, Malik Akowuah, has written to the hierarchy of the club requesting a transfer as he seeks a possible return to his mother club, Medeama SC.
Unhappy Akowuah joined the Phobians after a prolonged disagreement with Medeama in 2016 but has failed to glitter in the rainbow colors.
The midfielder is rumoured to have clashed with Scottish trainer, Frank Elliot Nuttall.
With just two weeks to start the new season, the 27-year old aggressive player wants to terminate his three-year long contract to enable him rejoin the Tarkwa based side where he enjoyed some playing time.
Malik Akowuah was an unused substitute as Hearts of Oak lost 2-1 to Dreams FC in the finals of the 2018 G8 on Sunday.
