Public relations officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mr. Kwame Opare Addo has express utmost shock and displeasure at the increasing rumors that combative midfielder Malik Akowuah has tendered in a transfer request.
He has described such claims as lies and disgusting rumours.
The official spokesperson of the club expressed his disgust at the manner in which little or near no investigations were made into this rumor.
Admitting that the midfielder did not enjoy much playing time in his first season with the club, Mr. Addo said discussions of a possible return to Medeama Sc has never cropped up between the former Ashgold playmaker and officials of the club.
“I do not know where all these rumors of Malik Akowuah wanting out of the club and outburst with the head coach emanated from but I can say with authority that we have not received any transfer request from the latter like it is been put out there”, Opare explained to Joy sports.
Malik Akowuah penned a three year contract with the Phobians last season and was an unused substitute as Hearts of Oak lost out on the GHALCA G8 trophy last Sunday.
