Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has urged American businesses and investors to seize opportunities in Ghana, highlighting the country’s strategic advantages and potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.
Speaking at the 35th Anniversary Thanksgiving Dinner and Awards Night of the American Chamber of Commerce Ghana, Mr. Kufuor emphasized Ghana’s strategic location and abundant natural resources as key assets for building a sustainable and competitive economy.
He also encouraged Ghanaian businesses to focus on adding value to their exports to enhance their standing in global markets.
“The time has come for the U.S., if it wants to champion global advancement, to consider places like Ghana. Ghana is a true hub, naturally positioned at the intersection of the equator and the meridian.
In terms of travel, within six hours, you can reach New York, and within seven hours, the Middle East. We have the human and natural resources. So, I appeal to all of you to make Ghana the hub for partnerships and production,” he stated.
