An Accra High Court hearing the case of 14 persons accused of murdering Major Maxwell Adam Mahama today failed to empanel a seven-member Jury to enable trial commence.
This is as a result of a rejection of eight persons nominated to serve as jurors.
The court needs seven persons to be accepted by the accused persons with each having the option of raising an objection three times without stating reasons.
After about 45 minutes of the engagement between lawyers and court officials, six persons comprising four gentlemen and two ladies had been accepted.
Trial Judge Mariama Owusu adjourned hearing to April 16 to enable the court get one more Juror to get the panel set for trial.
