Major boost for Hearts as Cobbina returns

-

Hearts of Oak have had a major boost in player selection as midfielder Winful Cobbina returns to full scale training after sitting out for three weeks due to ill health.
The 2017 MTN FA Cup Most Valuable Player struggled to complete the side’s week 2 game against AshantiGold at the Cape Coast stadium and had to be substituted after recess.
Missing in action also were Captain Inusah Musah and midfield prodigy Samudeen Ibrahim who have all been out due to injuries.
Premier League Board’s 2016 best defender Musah and Samudeen Ibrahim both started from the bench as Hearts of Oak were humiliated by Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park by a 3-0 scoreline to the Berekum Blues.
Coach Henry Wellington will now have other options in midfield as the attacking midfielder joins the team today to Cape Coast to prepare for a must-win on Wednesday fixture against Wa All Stars.
Cobbina who has been an integral part of the Hearts of Oak set up since joining the club last season, scored the club’s opener against Eleven Wonders in Techiman on match day 1 of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League.
