Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is rallying the party’s supporters to join the nationwide demonstration against the Electoral Commission (EC).

Speaking at rallies in Jinijini and Adamso, Bono Region, Mahama urged NDC supporters across the country to heed the call of the party’s National Chairman and join regional protests to pressure the EC to address their concerns.

John Mahama insists that, the Electoral Commission carries a posture which shows no readiness to address concerns raised about the 2024 voter register, by his party.

In view of this, he called on all NDC supporters, as well as Ghanaians who value peace, to join the demonstrations on September 17, 2024.

The protests, according to Mahama, will target every EC district office in the country as a means to pressure the commission to take action and ensure a transparent electoral process.

The party sympathizers will march to every EC office in their respective districts and make their demands known peacefully.
