President John Mahama has sworn in the fourth batch of ministers of state, following their approval by Parliament after a thorough vetting process and deliberations by the Appointments Committee.
The ceremony, held at Jubilee House on Friday, February 7, was conducted in accordance with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
The newly sworn-in ministers include Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo as Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment, and Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed as Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology.
Samuel Nartey George has been sworn in as Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, while Kofi Iddie Adams takes over as Minister for Sports and Recreation.
Joseph Bukari Nikpe will serve as Minister for Transport, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh as Minister for Health, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu has been appointed Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, with Seidu Issifu taking on the role of Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability.
Among the regional appointments, Charity Gardiner has been named Ahafo Regional Minister, Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu will oversee the Savannah Region, and Wilbert Petty Brentum has been sworn in as Western North Regional Minister.
Joseph Nelson will serve as Western Regional Minister, Joseph Addae Akwaboa as Bono Regional Minister, and Francis Owusu Antwi as Bono East Regional Minister. Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere has been appointed Central Regional Minister, while Puozuing Charles Lwanga takes charge as Upper West Regional Minister.
With their induction into office, these ministers are expected to bring leadership and expertise to their respective portfolios, advancing national development and policy implementation.
