President John Mahama has sworn five more ministers following their approval by Parliament.
The approval follows a rigorous vetting process and extensive debates held on January 23 and 24.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Jubilee House on Friday evening.
This is the second batch of ministers sworn into office to begin their critical roles, bringing the total so far to 11.
The newly sworn-in ministers include: Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Emelia Arthur, Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Industry, and Agribusiness.
He urged them to prioritise transparency, inclusivity, and accountability in discharging their duties to the people of Ghana.
“Ghanaians have signaled zero tolerance for poor governance,” President Mahama stated, adding that the ministers must serve with dignity, respect, and an unwavering commitment to national progress,” he said.
