Mahama stresses action over policies for Ghana’s progress

President John Dramani Mahama has stressed that well-crafted policies alone will not transform Ghana unless backed by decisive action.

Speaking at the 68th Independence Day celebration at the Jubilee House on March 6, themed “Reflect, Review, and Reset,” he called for bold steps beyond policy formulation to drive economic growth and national development.

“This is a defining moment, but policies alone—no matter how sound or well-intentioned—will not change our reality. Action will. As President, I am taking the necessary steps to create growth opportunities and enhance our economic independence,” he stated.

He urged young Ghanaians to take initiative and actively contribute to national progress.

“Young Ghanaians must step up, seize these opportunities, and play their part in building a self-sufficient nation. Ghana’s economic future is in your hands,” he added.
